Travel Post - Day 1 and 2
If you don’t know, I’m spending this week in Houston, TX. I’m on a photo/video shoot for Cadillac V-Series Performance Lab.
Here are a few snapshots from my trip thus far, and my personal observations:
- Gas is only $3.50/gal in Texas.
- Video conversion (from Mac to PC) seems to be the bane of my existence. Thankfully, I think I’ve found a simple solution.
- I feel like such a Yankee when I can’t understand the locals’ southern drawl.
- It took me two days to find the alternative rock station on my rental car’s XM radio.
- You can fit a large Pizza Hut pizza in your mini-fridge if you take out the shelves.
- I came into this project thinking I was mainly the “video” guy (and I mostly am). But, when I was greeted by a Cadillac girl, I told her I was from Green Sky Creative, and she said, “Oh, so you must be the photographer.” Big gulp. I thought I would be part of a group. Nope. Just me.
- I set a new personal record for myself. I took 743 photos in a half day. However, I’m afraid that at least 60-70% are rubbish.
- The next two days will be strictly video. Phew.
